Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 20 mins
4 piece boneless chicken thighs (I tried chicken breast—was not good)
Salt and Pepper ( to season)
1.5 tbsp butter
3 Tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce (or Coconut Aminos—my preference)
0.5 tbsp Black Pepper (adjust to your spice tolerance)
1.5 tbsp Garlic (Minced)
2 tbsp Honey
2.5 tbsp Ketchup
Cornstarch to sprinkle on the meat before frying, if you want it to be a bit crispy!
Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cook Chicken
In a pan, add in oil, and turn the heat up to medium. Once the pan is hot, add in the chicken, skin side facing down.
Pan-fry chicken
Pan-fry the chicken for about 6 minutes on each side, or until chicken skin is crispy and golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Mix ingredients
Mix black pepper, minced garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, honey, and ketchup in a bowl.
Simmer Sauce
Turn the heat up to medium and add butter into the pan. Pour in the sauce and simmer for 1 minute.
Cook Chicken
Add the chicken back in and cook on medium-high heat for 1-2 minutes on each side.
